Your consultation with Dr. Stevens or Dr. Spring is your first step in preparing for a Los Angeles or Beverly Hills breast implant surgery procedure. At your consultation, you'll have time to discuss all your options – from implants to incisions to anesthesia – and create the right surgical plan as a team. Dr. Stevens or Dr. Spring will give you detailed instructions prior to surgery. These will include guidelines for eating, drinking, exercising, smoking and taking medication. It's important to follow their advice as your actions in the days and weeks leading up to surgery will affect the healing process.
It's likely you'll be scheduled for surgery at the Marina Outpatient Surgery Center, the fully-accredited facility located in the UCLA Medical Building in Marina del Rey where most of Dr. Stevens' and Dr. Spring's procedures are performed. After a short recovery period there, you'll be released to relax for a few days.
The staff at Marina Plastic Surgery will assist you in making decisions about your care immediately following surgery. Like many patients, especially those who choose to fly to Los Angeles for breast implant surgery, you may decide to spend that first night at a recovery center nearby. Or, you may opt to have a friend or loved one pick you up and stay with you at home. If you have small children or pets, you'll need to ask someone you trust to give you some help with them for a few days.
