This 42-year-old woman (5' 6", 145 lbs.)chose to replace her saline implants with silicone gel implants. Women may decide to replace breast implants for a variety of reasons; in some cases, their previous surgeon's results fell short of their expectations, and in other cases their sizing goals change or they want to replace older saline implants with the more natural look and feel of silicone-gel "gummy bear" implants. This patient decided that high-profile Beverly Hills breast implants would best achieve the shape she wanted.

In her consultation, her surgeon helped her choose an appropriate volume for her breast implants. Typically, patients will narrow their goals down to a specific sizing range, and the surgeon will determine in surgery the exact volume in cc's that will meet the patient's goals.

The patient's breast augmentation procedure was performed in Marina Plastic Surgery's state-of-the-art Los Angeles surgical center. Her surgeon made an incision around the areola (the dark skin around the nipple) before creating a pocket under the chest muscle on each side and inserting two 650cc textured implants. Both of Marina Plastic Surgery's surgeons offer a number of different options for Los Angeles breast implants, and will recommend an incision and placement technique depending on the patient's goals.

As a result of her breast augmentation procedure, this patient's bra size has increased from a 36C to a 36DD. She accomplished her sizing goal and is very happy with the look and feel of her new breasts.
