This 31-year-old woman had a slim, toned body but felt that her breasts looked small even for her 5' 4", 118lb frame. She decided to meet with one of the board-certified plastic surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates to get a better idea of whether breast implants in Beverly Hills would help her attain the fuller, more feminine physique she wanted. During her consultation, she and her surgeon discussed her options. Together, they decided that the cohesive gel or "gummy bear" implants, which closely mimic the feel of natural breast tissue, would help her achieve the natural-looking results she wanted. Unlike saline implants, "gummy bear" implants will not leak, and because the soft gel holds its shape, the implant surface won't ripple. This patient's procedure was performed in Marina Plastic Surgery's surgical facility. Her surgeon began with an incision around the areola (the dark skin around the nipple), then created a space for each implant behind the chest muscle and carefully inserted her 435cc implants. Many women will chose to have their implants placed partially behind the muscle (instead of in front of it) because this placement allows the patient's tissues to cover the top of the implant more fully, creating a more natural-looking shape. This woman's breast implant surgery in Los Angeles changed her bra size from 34A to 34C. As seen in her profile-view photos, her new curves flatter her slim frame very well. Even though she had very little breast tissue to begin with, her gummy bear implants have given her a very smooth, natural looking shape that looks very proportional for her body.
